I can not believe that we are in week 14 already, and officially in the 2nd Trimester! We are headed off to our next doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon and I still have my fingers crossed that we will get to have our first ultrasound to hear the little heartbeat! We will keep everyone posted!
How is Baby O Growing?
This week's big developments: Baby O can now squint, frown, grimace and possibly suck his/her thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, the facial muscles are getting a workout as his/her tiny features form one expression after another. Baby O can grasp, too, and if we get to have an ultrasound now, we may even catch him sucking his/her thumb.
Baby O is stretching out! From head to bottom, he/she measures about 3 1/2 inches and weighs about 1 1/2 ounces. Baby O's body is growing faster than his/her head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his/her arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of the body. Though I can't feel any tiny punches or kicks yet, Baby O's little hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active!
