Well, unfortunately I don't get to post a new fruit or vegetable today haha, because little peanut is going to be a Papaya until Week 25. But, this past week has been a pretty good one! I seemed to revert a bit back to my first trimester this weekend with some nausea, but that has subsided and now I am back to feeling a bit more like myself...or at least, a pregnant version of myself! Ha!
Peanut is growing by the day, and so it my belly! I can now feel her move and kick from my lower stomach, all the way up my ribs at the same time so she must be practicing her jumping jacks.
How is Baby Growing?
It's time to turn on the radio and sway to the music! With her sense of movement well developed by now, little peanut can feel me dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound, I can actually see her squirm underneath my clothes. Especially when she is feeling extra feisty! Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that her increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your Shamus barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.
