Well, here we are at our weekly update! Emma turns 33 weeks today, so only 7 more to go (give or take)! It's a big day today...not only does Emma into a Honeydew haha, but she also gets her Nursery furniture!! Her crib and dresser (which will also be our changing table) are being delivered today between 10:00 and 1:00, and Mommy can't wait!! The Nursery is all cleaned up and ready for the furniture so it will take all my power not to go crazy tonight and try to set everything up haha. We still have a few things to buy, which my mom and I are planning on doing after my doctors appointment on Friday. It's pretty convenient that Babies R Us is literally, right across the street from my doctor's office! We have a couple of things to take back from the shower, and a few more things to pick up...so it's a good thing this weekend is a three day weekend because it's going to be get ready for baby weekend! The first question I usually get that follows the "How far along are you?" question, is "Is the Nursery ready?" It will be really nice to be able to say "Almost!" instead of "Not even close!" haha! So hopefully, but this afternoon I will be able to post some pictures of Emma's furniture in her room!
How Is Emma Growing?
This week Emma weighs a little over 4 pounds and has passed the 17-inch mark. She's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and her skeleton is hardening. The bones in her skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for her to fit through the birth canal. These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as her brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.
